This piece is a drawing of the hallway going to the art wing for the 1 point perspective project. The task was to use the vanishing point in a hallway to show the "tunnel like" effect of one point perspective. The key skills and knowledge in this project included knowing where to put the eye level line as well as proportionally drawing the vertical lines of the door in relation to the ceiling height. Some other important drawing and design skills that this work addressed include the rectangle at the end of the hallway that you draw your lines from the vanishing point off of. This rectangle is used to show hoe far away the end of the hallway is. The smaller the rectangle the longer the hallway. In my final product you will notice that I succeeded in using the vanishing point to create the angled lines throughout the piece. Another thing that I succeeded with was drawing the indention in the wall where the post is on the right side of the drawing. It was difficult to show that part because I didn't have a vanishing point to go off of so I just had to eyeball it. What I learned while constructing and finishing this project is that the vanishing point may not be in the middle of the rectangle at the end of the hallway, depending on where you are viewing it from. For this piece I was sitting slightly to the right. In reflecting on this piece, I am proud of how I has able to accurately show the windows sunken into the wall as well as the blinds behind the window, but I need to continue working on the placement of the eye level line. In this piece it looks like it was drawn wile standing up but in reality I was sitting down. The eye level line should have been placed farther down.
